- The English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher will work with New Americans Program (NAP) staff to identify clients in need of English Language Training (ELT) and will prepare for and provide English language classes to limited English proficiency (LEP) clients.
- The ESL teacher will work closely with the Refugee Services Coordinator and Resettlement Director to develop and maintain ELT curriculum that assists refugee and immigrant clients in learning English upon their arrival in the U.S
- Teach lower-level ELT classes to primarily newly arrived refugees and immigrants participating in LSC NAP programs.
- Work with case management and employment specialist staff to recruit clients for ELT classes, ensuring consistent levels of attendance.
- Document and report client attendance and progress according to contractual requirements and in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
