- Operations and working collaboratively with various University departments the Environmental Engineer will be responsible for implementation of an array of projects associated with the regulatory compliance of the University.
- The wide array of responsibilities includes: capital project support for soil and groundwater management, air pollution, asbestos, lead, radon, stormwater, underground storage tanks, dam inspection, due diligence investigations associated with property acquisitions as well as review of all new environmental regulatory legislation and potential impacts.
- Primary responsibility for investigating and managing various potential environmental impacts including soil contamination issues and soil import/export management, asbestos abatements, groundwater impacts, lead paint and radon sources.
- Responsible for overseeing the investigations of University holdings to determine asbestos impacts with development of abatements schemes relevant to renovation activities.
- Oversee and manage the active Forrestal groundwater remediation meeting all regulatory and monitoring requirements under a current classification exception area.
