- You will work with a dynamic team of ship Naval Marine, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural Engineers, and Naval Architects providing our NAVSEA/NSWC/MSC Technical and Program Office clients with expert technical support in developing the next Navy ships.
- You will work with multidisciplinary teammates, systems engineering managers, electrical managers, SMEs utilizing the best practices for shipboard electrical generation, propulsion, and distribution systems, including machinery control and propulsion control systems for both new construction and fleet modernization programs.
- As a Junior Naval Electrical Engineer, you will become current and stay current in modern ship design requirements, analysis, emerging technologies, from traditional CAD and Excel analyses to digital engineering and modeling methods.
- Ensures that NAVSEA/NSWC/MSC Clients, Systems Engineering Managers, Task Leads, and internal customers receive accurate technical advice in a timely fashion
- Performs electrical feasibility and selection for design in electrical systems with generators, motors, variable frequency drives, transformers, uninterruptable power systems (UPS), control panels, HVAC controls, lighting systems, surveillance and communication systems, cables, timers, circuit breakers, power panels, batteries, relays, and other electrical components
