- Under direct supervision of the IT Director, this position is responsible for providing technical system support and maintenance to the City of Valdez E911 call-taking system, computer-aided dispatch system, E911 mapping systems, recording system; its components, networks, and servers; and to the public safety radio system.
- LTE Cellular deployment and P25 Radio Systems knowledge is highly preferred.
- Surrounded by the beautiful Chugach mountains, Valdez offers world class fishing and skiing, hiking, ice climbing, snow machining, and a myriad of other recreational options.
- Provide technical support and coordination in the installation and ongoing maintenance of the E911 system, including circuits, call answering equipment, call transfer equipment, ANI/ALI functionality, E911 telecommunications systems, visual call information and storage devices, recording equipment, PSAP backup power systems, consoles, connectivity interfaces, network clocks, and related E911 functionality.
