- Progressive Emergency Physicians is seeking a Physician Assistant with Emergency Medicine, Family Practice or Internal Medicine experience to join our Department of Emergency Medicine, operating Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) at Good Samaritan University Hospital.
- Our Facility Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, a member of Catholic Health Services of Long Island, is a 537-bed (including 100 nursing home beds), not-for-profit hospital serving the communities on the south shore of Long Island in West Islip, New York. Good Samaritan's high-quality medical services extend across the continuum of care to all disciplines, both for inpatients and outpatients.
- Good Samaritan is one of the largest providers of emergency services on Long Island.
- The Ambulatory Surgery Department, where patients have same-day procedures, treats an average of almost 300 patients each week.
- Pediatric patients are treated in the pediatric emergency department and, if necessary, admitted to the Pediatric Unit or the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Pediatric sub-specialists are available around the clock to support these medical services.
