- Provides coordination between the county, state and local agencies in the event of a natural, technological, or man-made emergency including terrorism (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, explosive).
- Responsible for locating, developing and delivering resources to Oakland County's citizens and business and educational institutions for emergency management and preparedness.
- Assists with the preparation of the County's Emergency Operations Plan, Hazard Mitigation Plan, or other similar plans related to emergency management & homeland security.
- Possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a preferred major in Public Administration, Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Fire Science, Homeland Security, Journalism, or a closely related field of study.
- NOTE: A Master's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, or closely related field may substitute for one (1) year of experience as described above.
