- This is an opportunity to join the fast-paced world of engineering ground combat vehicles for the US Army. Working as a DCS employee co-located in Warren Michigan, you will work alongside the U.S. Army Ground Vehicle Systems Center customer and be rewarded with a technically challenging and diverse career in the areas of ground vehicles, vehicle electronics, and advanced sensors.
- Responsible for the engineering management of vetronic and sensor hardware integration projects for schedule and performance metrics, and coordination with project management to achieve program goals.
- Identify state-of-the-art commercial and Government sensor and hardware technologies, and novel sensor and hardware engineering methodologies and apply them to the Army ground vehicle acquisition program.
- Conduct and provide engineering analysis and evaluation of design concepts, performance measurements, architectural analysis and design, technical reviews, requirements analysis, risk analysis and mitigation, and functional analysis in support of design, development, integration, test, production, logistics, fielding, and sustainment for U.S military ground combat systems.
- Participate in the execution of design reviews, sustainment planning, certification planning and implementation, verification planning and compliance, requirements and specification assessments and trade-space recommendations, interface management, architecture, design decisions, logistic support analysis, change management, metrics generation, analysis and management, review of technical proposals for vehicle system products, and configuration management activities.
