Job Summary The Distribution Electric System Operator is the first line supervisor overseeing the real time operation of the LIPA distribution system.
- The Electric System Operator continuously monitors the real time operation of the Distribution Electric System in Long Island while adhering to all applicable standards and operating procedures.
- Support company response to electric storm management and emergency restoration within division on day-to-day basis (rotating shifts) especially during all conditions of readiness including around the clock coverage to ensure efficient and effective storm response and provide accurate restoration times to customers.
- The successful candidate will be required to prepare for and pass the Distribution Operating exam within one year Must be able to work a rotating 12 - hour shift The ability to interface with all levels of management is essential Verbal communication must be clear, concise and effective.
