- Responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing environmental, health and safety (EHS) programs that meet internal requirements as well as compliance with government regulations and/or industry consensus requirements.
- Implement, monitor, and participate in the development of site EHS programs including but not limited to: hazardous waste, chemical safety/ chemical hazard awareness, biosafety, ergonomics, LOTO, GMP, confined space, electrical safety, hazmat shipment oversight and contractor/ construction safety
- Complete environmental and hazardous material regulatory reporting as needed.
- Conduct accident/incident investigations to identify root-causes & implement corrective action; Ensure closure of safety-related corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) and recommendations from various corporate organizations and internal/external audits
- Strong understanding and in-depth knowledge of EHS regulatory requirements and technical codes of practice (OSHA, EPA, ANSI, and NFPA).
