- The EH&S Technician supports the TS&I Environmental, Health & Safety programs to ensure compliance with federal, state & local regulations and internal policies & procedures.
- Conducts audits/reviews and evaluates compliance with environmental programs (i.e. air issues, solid and hazardous waste management, and water quality)
- Maintain hazardous waste program including: sampling, evaluating & categorizing chemical characteristics, transferring throughout the site, bulking, profiling, labeling, marking, handling, manifesting, managing containers, completing required documentation, wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) responding to spills and incidents, conducting audits of hazardous waste accumulation areas & containers
- Supports responses to emergencies (medical or chemical) and evacuations as an EH&S and Emergency Response team member
- Possesses or ability to obtain all necessary certifications relating to hazardous material handling, HAZWOPER, and DOT operations
