- Summary Under the direction of the Director operates diagnostic ultrasound equipment and produces cardiac images according to policy/protocol.
- Examinations performed include adult echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, contrast echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms and pediatric echocardiograms.
- Responsible for assuring a high level of quality in all exams and providing the interpreting physician with all the necessary information in order to make an accurate diagnosis.
- Education Associates of Science degree in health care field and successful completion of a cardiac ultrasound training program; OR successful completion of a two year Echocardiogram training program; OR Eligible for on-site training by obtaining an Associates of Science in a health care field or Bachelors degree in a health care related field with two years of cardiac related health care experience.
- A valid Echocardiography license from the ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography), CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) OR registry eligible and obtain valid certification within 12 months of graduation.
