- The purpose of this classification is to supervise, manage and coordinate the operations and administration of field operations and maintenance within the assigned divisions of water distribution, wastewater collection, wastewater pumping, stormwater, and construction.
- Oversees operations and administration of water, stormwater, reuse and wastewater system construction/installation; performs inspections of project/work sites; manages construction projects; coordinates lift station design and rehabilitation; reviews plans for new projects; develops project cost estimates.
- Communicates with director, deputy director, assistant director, other division managers, employees, other departments, engineers, developers, contractors, consultants, inspectors, regulatory agencies, vendors, customers, the public, outside agencies, and other individuals as needed to coordinate work activities, review status of work, exchange information, resolve problems, or give/receive advice/direction.
- Communicates via telephone and/or two-way radio; provides information, guidance, and assistance; takes and relays messages.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Utilities Director.
