- The inaugural Director of the UT Martin Center for Teaching & Learning (CTL), reporting to the Associate Provost, will serve as a teacher-scholar to provide leadership, coordination, and direction for faculty; to organize and facilitate learning development programs to promote research-based instructional excellence; and to enhance student learning.
- Identifies, develops, implements, and evaluates appropriate faculty development activities deemed imperative via discussions with academic deans, program chairs, department chairs, faculty members, and Academic Affairs.
- Provides advanced campus level consultation and leadership to individual faculty, faculty groups, program directors, department chairs, and other groups for educational initiatives, curriculum and instruction, academic technologies, and online/distance education.
- Analyzes and prioritizes the needs for faculty professional development in the areas of curriculum and curriculum design, instruction, techniques, and technologies for delivering quality courses.
- Designs, implements, oversees, and manages professional development programs to improve faculty /staff curriculum, instruction, and academic technology knowledge and skills for effective integration of instructional design principles.
