- The University of Washington Tacoma's (UWT) Psychological and Wellness Services (PAWS) provides high quality and timely mental health services and health promotion programming for UW Tacoma students.
- The Director of Psychological and Wellness Services leads a team of clinicians, health promotion specialist, doctoral level clinical and counseling psychology trainees, and student affairs professionals in developing and implementing a unit plan that meets the needs of UW Tacoma's diverse student population and that uses rigorous assessment to demonstrate outcomes and guide future planning.
- Facilitate long-range and annual planning that aligns resources of PAWS with UW Tacoma's strategic goals, UW Tacoma Student Affairs strategic goals, and the needs of UW Tacoma's diverse student population.
- Direct the day-to-day operations of PAWS, including administrative functions, clinical services, health promotion and health education efforts, and oversight of the UWT offsite, virtual-only, student health services.
- Manage the PAWS budget by ensuring compliance with UWT and Student Affairs policies, monitoring spending and planning for future needs.
