- Develop, expand, and evaluate the delivery of outreach services provided to school districts, BOCES, charter and on-line schools, as well as families and students statewide by Outreach staff, based upon data.
- Master's Degree, or higher, in Special Education or closely related field from an accredited college or university, with specialization in Deaf Education or Education of the Visually Impaired, or a Special Services area.
- Must hold or be eligible for appropriate educator licensure in the State of Colorado, either as an Administrator, Director of Special Education or as a Professional Teacher, endorsed in Special Education Specialist: Deaf and Hard of Hearing or Visually Impaired (ages 0-21) with COE-approved training for teacher leaders ("evaluator designees").
- Five (5) years successful experience in the field of Deaf Education and/or the education of students with visual impairments as a teacher, special services provider, administrator, or similar position.
