- Responsible for compliance with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations, including but not limited to clinical regulations promulgated by the Center for Medicare/Medicaid Services (CMS), the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) and the Association of Organ Procurement Organizations (AOPO).
- Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with: All internal clients, including Department Directors and staff in other departments; Hospital staff at all local hospitals; Key physicians and surgeons in the NDN DSA; Transplant center and laboratory personnel; other key personnel throughout the community.
- Review and update Policies and Procedures to ensure compliance with rules and regulations from governing agencies, including UNOS, AOPO, Food and Drug Administration (FDA), CDC and Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
- Assume primary responsibility for AOPO and UNOS inspections and accreditation.
- Serve as primary contact for UNOS and AOPO data acquisition and reporting.
