Title: Director of Information Technology Location: Austin, TX The Director of Information Technology (IT) is responsible for providing vision and leadership for the development, integration and implementation of all technology, analytics, and infrastructure initiatives for a non-profit, partnering closely with teams across the organization to ensure that deliverables and priorities are met in a timely manner.As the Director of IT, you will oversee the technology operations of an organization with 90+ people. The Director of IT has oversight of the annual IT budget and a 5-person team.You will also be responsible for all data analytics and business intelligence. The Director of IT partners with employees generating data to pull together their analytics into a business intelligence dashboards that can determine trends, create statistical discipline, inform future decision- making, and provide high level graphics that can be shared with a range of audiences. Your role:<ul> <li>Provide strategic planning and collaborative operational leadership to ensure the effective and efficient development, implementation, and maintenance of technology resources.</li><li>Develop and execute a technology strategic business plan that supports organizational goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the organization.</li><li>Advise senior management on strategic systems integration in support of organizational goals and objectives. Oversee preparation and maintenance of technical specifications and related documentation to secure procedures and prevent system failure.</li><li>Lead efforts to diagnose and resolve telecommunications issues, including phone systems, internet, Wi-Fi, and conferencing tools, to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted communication.</li><li>Research and make recommendations on software purchases. Negotiate with vendors on behalf of the foundation to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions.</li><li>Oversee the Service Desk function and be proficient in IT Service Management (ITIL) philosophies.</li><li>Forecast, prepare, and manage the organizational technology and facilities budget in support of organizational priorities.</li><li>Manage the upkeep of technology equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards.</li><li>Inspect buildings' structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.</li><li>Partner with building management in the control of building use activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security, maintenance, office assets, etc.</li><li>Serve as a liaison with building management on issues of facilities requests, including maintenance, repairs, access badges, garage, elevator, HVAC, janitorial services, and general building operations.</li></ul> What you've got:<ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems or related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education required.</li><li>Minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible information technology leadership experience, including experience aligning business processes with technology to create organizational efficiencies.</li><li>Hands on leadership experience across all of IT including Security, IT Infrastructure, Service Management Support, DevOps, Project Management, and Vendor Management.</li><li>Must have substantial exposure to a variety of hardware platforms and enterprise software applications, and considerable knowledge of business processes, management, and budgeting.</li><li>Demonstrated success in project management and excellent understanding of project management principles.</li><li>Advanced level knowledge of personal computers and all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.</li><li>Advanced level of proficiency in the support of various computer applications.</li><li>Willingness and ability to travel to multiple locations within Central Texas, including some nights and weekends.</li></ul> Preferred Qualifications:<ul> <li>Master's degree in Management Information Systems or Computer Information Systems.</li><li>Certification in Project Management (PMP) and IT Service Management (ITIL).</li><li>Minimum of 15 years of information technology leadership experience, with at least two of those years in an IT Director role.</li><li>Information technology leadership experience in a health-related or non-profit organization.</li><li>Experience with HIPAA, privacy, and security compliance.</li></ul> To find more great tech-centric jobs, please visit www.phoenixstaff.com.
