- The Director of Gifts and Records Management is a critical position in the Office of Philanthropy, and specifically on the Development Operations team.
- The director also ensures that proper records of donor intent are stored and confirms this by leading the monthly reconciliation process with Fund Accounting.
- The director manages two subordinate positions and collaborates with donor relations, annual giving, principal, planned and major giving and alumni relations to provide appropriate training on policies, process and procedures to ensure financial control.
- Establishes and updates current policies and procedures for transaction entry, including coding standards to ensure accurate financial reporting for Philanthropy and Fund Accounting; works with RUSH Treasury to maintain depository accounts, including those for donor-advised funds, gifts of stock, cash wires and automated clearing house (ACH) payments and in-kind gifts.
- Collaborates with the donor relations, stewardship, principal, planned, major and annual giving, and corporate and foundation relations teams as well as all positions in Development Operations to ensure adherence to policy regarding donor intent and the accurate reporting of transactions; reviews and retains gift, pledge and letters-of-intent documents.
