- Under the supervision of an Early Intervention/Developmental Services Supervisor, the Developmental Specialist II provides an array of developmental services, which may include: newborn and infant screenings, assessments, and home or center-based treatment, for children demonstrating developmental delays.
- Completes newborn screenings, including assessment of the maternal/infant dyadic interaction.
- Provides developmental services under various programs, including but not limited to behavioral intervention (i.e., positive behavior support), infant massage, parenting classes and developmental stimulation/enhancement in one-on-one or in a group setting to patients 0-5 years, according to the treatment plan approved by Supervisor.
- Ability and means to travel as needed in a timely manner within San Diego County, to locations that may have limited access to public transportation; proof of liability and property damage insurance on vehicle used is required.
