- Provides restorative, pediatric, periodontic, endodontic, prosthodontic, diagnostic, surgical, and preventive dental services of a scope, quality, and quantity consistent with IHS, Bemidji Area, and the Service Unit policies, standards of care, and best practices.
- The dentist may perform difficult oral surgeries such as extraction of a partially impacted teeth where there is a complicating aspect, a difficult alveoplasty in connection with fitting of denture or other appliance, or other difficult dental procedures.
- Serves as the outreach infection control coordinator and provides infection control oversight for the outreach program.
- Measles and Rubella immunization required for selectees born after 1957 and seasonal influenza immunization is required for all staff working in Indian Health Service health care facilities.
- Applicants must have a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from a school approved by the American Dental Association (ADA) or the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
