- Bachelor’s Degree in Food and Nutrition, Public Health Nutrition, or related field, and a current certification if DTR.
- Knowledge of WIC program is desired.
- Work under the direction of the Center Manager and assists to ensure that the WIC program activities are in compliance with USDA, California WIC State Branch policies and procedures.
- Certify WIC participants: develop nutrition care plan, follow-up and document using WIC WISE. Conduct quarterly individual WIC staff audits and group class observation as part of the quality assurance and compliance processes.
- Perform breastfeeding counseling to breastfeeding women in the WIC program.
