- We are hiring a Cultural Resources Specialist Lead/Senior to work for our Environmental Services Group.
- As a valued member of the J-U-B Environmental Services Group, the incumbent professional provides expert services in archaeology, architectural, and cultural resources inventory, evaluation, reporting and consultation.
- The position's primary role is to identify affected cultural resources in and around project sites, and assist agencies in completing regulatory compliance and identifying and implementing measures to avoid or minimize adverse effects.
- Prepares and tailors cultural resource investigations, reports, and related services for regulatory compliance and provides expert guidance for consultation with the State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO) and Tribal Historic Preservation Office (THPO).
- Ensures compliance with the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) and related federal, state, and local laws and regulations relating to preserving cultural and historic sites on projects assigned, to include expertise in assisting agencies in required consultation with the SHPO, Advisory Council on Historic Preservation, federally recognized Tribes, cooperating agencies, and other interested stakeholders.
