- The Cultural Monitor will be responsible for working with construction contractors, archaeologist and environmental planning consultants to monitor for cultural resources during ground disturbing activities at construction sites.
- Utilizing their training and experience, the Cultural Monitor will identify, archive, preserve and protect Kumeyaay cultural resources.
- In addition, the Cultural Monitor must have knowledge of CEQA/NEPA.
- Knowledge of San Diego and Imperial Valley region in California culture and history.
- Work and communicate efficiently with other agencies, Native American Groups and construction crews.
