- The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is a direct care provider who possesses the knowledge and skills required for the delivery of safe, competent, anesthesia care.
- Within this role, the CRNA provides anesthesia for general, regional and sedation cases.
- Performing and managing regional anesthesia techniques including, but not limited to subarachnoid and epidural blocks; plexus, major and peripheral nerve blocks, intravenous regional anesthesia; trans-tracheal, topical and local infiltration blocks.
- The CRNA is proficient in caring for pediatric, adult and geriatric patient populations.
- The CRNA will participate in activities that enhance and develop professional growth.
