- The SASS Case Manager works to alleviate or stabilize mental health symptoms of selected clients, which impairs their ability to adjust to home, community integration, or maintain living stability; provides therapeutic services to individuals, families or groups regarding psychological or emotionalproblems such as therapeutic settings by performing the following duties; develops assessment and treatment planning for clients.
- Applicants must meet the requirement for a Mental Health Professional as defined by Rule 132.
- Therapist - candidates who have a master's degree in counseling and guidance, rehabilitation counseling, social work, vocational counseling, psychology, pastoral counseling, or family therapy, or a related field

- Screening Assessment and Support Services (SASS) is an intensive mental health program designed to provide crisis stabilization, pre-admission screening, assessment, and treatment of any child who may be at risk of psychiatric hospitalization and who is eligible for public funding under any program funded by one of three collaborating departments (IDHS, IHFS, and IDCFS).
