- The NYPD strives to foster a safe and fair city by incorporating Neighborhood Policing into all facets of Department operations, and solve the problems that create crime and disorder through an interdependent relationship between the people and its police, and by pioneering strategic innovation.
- We work with the City's governmental, residential and business communities to improve traffic safety and expedite traffic flow through the appropriate deployment of traffic control resources and the judicious enforcement of the laws regarding parking and moving violations.
- A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Sociology, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research or a closely related field; and one year of satisfactory full-time experience in the analysis and/or research of data related to crime, criminals, criminal intelligence, and/or other social sciences in a police, judicial, or other criminal justice setting; or
- A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Sociology, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research or a closely related field; and a Master’s degree from an accredited college in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Sociology, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research or a closely related field.
