- The Home Health OT Assistant is a clinically competent and licensed professional who provides treatment for Home Care/Home Health residents/patients under the occupational therapy plan of care as established by the therapist.
- Effectively and professionally interacts with residents/patients, family members, responsible party and other home health care team members, while maintaining standards of professional conduct.
- This position complies with regulatory standards of the American Occupational Therapy Association, the Department of Health, and any other professional guidelines or standards.
- Perform specific assessment components of treatment and report findings to occupational therapist (i.e. ADL or cognitive assessments).
- Respond promptly to acute changes in resident’s physiological state and report to occupational therapist; modify or adjust treatment plan within limits of the plan of care.
