- The primary purpose of the Corrosion Technician is to operate and maintain the corrosion control facilities through planning and implementation of corrosion control activities for pipelines and storage facilities, including installation, operation and maintenance.
- The corrosion technician must also ensure compliance with company policies/procedures as well as federal and state regulations.
- Responsible for all activities related to corrosion control (Internal/External) and pipeline integrity.
- Cathodic protection includes recording annual pipe-to-soil readings, rectifier readings, bond readings, road casing status, insulated effectiveness with an Allegro data recorder.
- Troubleshooting rectifier units, remote monitoring, perform interference testing, and overseeing cathodic protection installations.
