- As a Juvenile Correctional Officer, you will oversee the safety and well-being, along with supervising the activities, of at-risk youth in a detention facility.
- The Juvenile Detention Center (JDC) is astate-licensed facility for juveniles ages 10 to 18+, for juveniles pending disposition of their court cases at the Juvenile Detention Center.
- A Bachelor's Degree or higher in corrections, criminal justice, law enforcement or a related behavioral/social science field such as sociology, psychology, social work, counseling, or education.
- Experience:Serving the needs of at-risk youth in group residential setting such as DOC or DHS licensed group homes, shelters, or treatment programs.
- Serving the needs of at-risk youth in the community such as in secondary school settings, outpatient counseling/day treatment programs, or community-based services or youth outreach programs (e.g. Boys and Girls Clubs/YMCA, etc.)
