- The candidate must meet and exceed the departmental needs with a strong desire to maintain the highest levels of quality, organization, cleanliness and sanitation of the work areas and equipment.
- Must be able to prepare all major food items for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, with techniques including, but not limited to: knife skills, steam/boil, saute, roast, fry, braise/stew, grill, and bake.
- Ability to communicate read and follow menus and recipes effectively in English and compute basic mathematical calculations.
- Ensure the proper handling / storage of all food items in accordance with healthcare standards and sanitation/health regulations.
