The Laborer will participate in all aspects of the on-site assembly of manufactured housing and will report directly to a Construction Crew Lead. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The key responsibilities of this position are outlined below. Other duties may be assigned. <ul><li>Performs all manual labor in the area to which assigned.</li><li>Keeps area and site organized and clean</li><li>Read and use a tape measure</li><li>Read blueprints and orders</li><li>Communicate well with coworkers</li><li>Use hand tools, air tools, and electrical tools</li></ul><ul><li>Represent Champion with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor</li></ul> Working Conditions and Physical Demands: <ul><li>Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.</li><li>Ability to stand and/or walk for the full duration of the workday</li><li>Must have clear vision at both close and distant ranges</li><li>Ability to hear clearly</li><li>Must be available to travel, with occasional overnight stays</li><li>Must be willing to work outside in all four seasons</li></ul> Qualifications: <ul><li>Must have a strong work ethic</li><li>Must have the ability to work quickly and methodically</li><li>Must understand safety procedures</li><li>Must have good teamwork skills</li><li>Must live the Champion Operating Principles</li></ul><ul><li>Basic knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction or repair of houses or buildings</li><li>Ability to troubleshoot, reason, and solve problems</li><li>Previous experience in manufacturing/modular housing desired</li><li>Preference will be given to those applicants with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record</li><li>Must be available to work Monday through Saturday</li><li>Must pass a pre-employment drug screen</li></ul> Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
