- In this position you will perform laboratory tests on construction materials, interpret test data, and prepare reports and/or summaries of test data under the direction of the laboratory manager
- Specific duties may be, but are not limited to soils laboratory testing such as: Atterberg limits, gradation analyses, swell testing, moisture content testing, visual classifications, unconfined compressive strength testing of soil and rock, and standard and modified proctor testing
- Concrete laboratory testing may include duties such as stripping and labeling samples, setting samples for curing, monitoring daily temperature logs, and breaking of samples
- Additional responsibilities include compiling test results, data input, data processing, and other administrative work
- You will also assist in maintaining a clean and organized lab in compliance with QA/QC initiatives and accreditation requirements, including calibration of laboratory equipment and maintenance of calibration schedule and records
