- The Methodist Health System (MHS) Graduate Medical Education (GME) Department provides training, in association and cooperation with its affiliated participating institution, in graduate medical education programs that meet the standards established by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and its Residency Review Committees, American Osteopathic Association (AOA) and the Fellowship Council (FC).
- All participants in graduate medical education programs sponsored by MHS GME must meet the eligibility requirements as outlined in the ACGME Institutional Requirements, AOA Institutional Requirements, the FC Institutional Requirements and the Texas Medical Board.
- The program director, the attending staff and the Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC) will determine the resident’s level of responsibility and autonomy.
- Abide by all MHS policies and procedures, including the provisions of the GME Policy and Procedure Manual, the residency training programs and the regulations of any affiliated institution to which the resident may be assigned.
- Methodist Richardson Medical Center is a 443-bed, full-service, acute care hospital that serves Richardson, Garland, Plano, and surrounding areas in Dallas and Collin counties.
