- Together, we make tangible impact on some of our toughest community issues including poverty, homelessness, education equity, and economic mobility
- Using the framework of solidarity economics as a jump off, we will be developing an initiative to build community care and power with the end goal of interrupting the cycle of generational poverty and moving towards building community prosperity in key BIPOC communities within LA County.
- o With support from the Impact Data Manager and external data partners, coordinate and centralize the process of establishing community-driven outputs for the initiative such as jobs created, community college success, debt & wealth, housing, benefits & food
- o Support fundraising efforts to scale the neighborhood networks to over 10 networks in the next 3 years, including elements of grant writing and reporting for mid-size proposals of $100k and above that benefit the long-term sustainability of the Community Prosperity team and drives community impact
- o Work with Community Impact Directors & Managers to determine how best to leverage existing United Way programs into each network: the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA), the Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP), Utilities Assistance Program, Young Civic Leaders Program, and our Home For Good, Everyone In, and Our Future LA initiatives
