- The Communications Director assists in the development and execution of a market-wide communications plan for development/core-fundraising campaigns and events and advocacy and community impact priorities.
- The Communications Director, along with the Greater Washington Region staff collaborates to engage local leadership, volunteer support and participation.
- Develop a coordinated market-wide communications plan and timeline for core fund-raising campaigns and events (Heart Walk, Go Red for Women, Heart Ball, Heart’s Delight Wine Tasting & Auction, Lawyers Have Heart 10K, 5K and Fun Walk, The Association’s Golf Tournament, An Affair of the Heart Luncheon & Fashion Show and other events as added), and for Community Impact and Advocacy priorities, as well as to elevate key sponsors and volunteers.
- Crafting the Market Impact Story by developing key messaging and collateral materials and through public and media relations efforts, social media, and video creation.
- Cultivate media sources both internal and external, providing spokesperson training to volunteer leadership and staff.
