- The Clinical Health Psychologist assesses, diagnoses, and treats psychological, emotional, cognitive, and functional status of individuals who are coping with injury and/or health issues using a biopsychosocial approach.
- Adjunct academic faculty appointment through a department in conjunction with the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine is available.
- The Clinical Health Psychologist may work in an inpatient consultation-liaison role, in integrated clinics and/or outpatient settings as part of a multidisciplinary team within our large Health System.
- Evidence based interventions such as ACT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, EMDR, ERP, DBT, and pain management may be utilized.
- The Clinical Health Psychologist is also responsible for the treatment of primary or comorbid psychological disorders that may occur in conjunction with their difficulty adjusting to health issues.
