- Overview Plans and supervises the activities of an assigned section within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (DPLM); ensures adherence to quality assurance and record keeping standards; and provides leadership, technical assistance and training of employees for the provision of accurate, valid, and timely test results.
- New employees must be willing to be vaccinated if found non-immune to measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) and chicken pox (varicella) and/or without evidence of tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccination since 2005.
- Supervision of personnel + Development, oversight, and enforcement of quality assurance activities for the section in collaboration with the Technical/Medical Director + Evaluation, implementation and maintenance of methods and instrumentation in collaboration with the Technical/Medical Director + Maintains general operations within the Laboratory section Qualifications + Bachelor's Degree and 5-7 years of experience working in a clinical Laboratory setting is required without substitution.
- Certification in one of the following: MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP/ASCPi), MT(AMT), MT(HHS), MT(AAB) or a lab specialty or license is required upon hire.
