- The primary function of the Clinical Consultant is to conduct functional behavior assessments as well as plan, develop, and monitor a variety of behavior support service delivery options to meet the needs of the people we support who have been diagnosed with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and/or other behavioral and social/communication challenges.
- The Clinical Consultant also conducts develops and implements comprehensive behavior support plans/safety plans; consults with and provides training to direct support professionals (residential and day services) regarding evidenced based interventions that will help improve adaptive functioning of the people supported; and collaborates with team members, related service providers, families, and other agencies as appropriate.
- Additionally, the Clinical Consultant will provide clinical services that correspond with their licensure (LIMHP, LMHP, PLMHP, APRN) or certification (BCBA).
- Use appropriate assessment instruments and data to develop and implement training programs that reflect behavioral and other outcomes and objectives identified in the IDI, ISP, BSP, and safety plan.
- Create Behavior Support Plans and Safety Plans for all persons on caseload.
