- The Clinical Assistant will provide direct care and supervision of patients admitted to the Neurobehavioral Unit (NBU) Outpatient Clinic; implement written behavioral protocols; manage aggressive, self-injurious, and disruptive patient behavior; and collect data on patient-specific target behaviors.
- Follow department safety procedures using safe handling techniques and approved physical management procedures, including patient transport and blocking for both patient protection from self-injurious behaviors and self-protection from staff-directed aggressive behavior.

- Assist in training activities for newly hired clinical assistants, as needed.
