- We are actively seeking an innovative physician-scientist leader specialized in dementia and cognitive neuroscience to head the Alzheimer’s Disease, Dementia and Cognitive Neurology program for the Department of Neurology in Worcester, MA. The ideal candidate for this leadership role should be a neurologist/scientist with proven program-building expertise and current R01 funding or has the demonstrated proficiency to obtain NIH funding.
- The Chief of Alzheimer’s Disease, Dementia and Cognitive Neurology will lead and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of board-certified educators, scientists, and clinicians from Neurology, Neuroscience, and Psychiatry to provide groundbreaking prevention strategies, as well as comprehensive care and support for patients with progressive neurodegenerative dementias and cognitive disorders.
- Neurology Research Areas include cognitive neuroscience and dementia, epilepsy, neurocritical care, stroke, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, brain development, gene therapy in neurological disorders, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders, shared decision making and neuro-prognostication, and traumatic brain injury.
