- Surgeries are performed at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, a level I trauma center and academic teaching hospital with 1,259 staffed beds, and Missouri Baptist Medical Center, a 489-bed community-based hospital, both are Magnet-designated hospitals and members of the BJC HealthCare system.
