- GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is charged with the implementation of Saint Mary’s College policy and procedures as they apply to technology and to guide the college in the effective and innovative use of technology as a strategic resource.
- The CIO provides strategic leadership and operational management for all information technology and VOIP services (both administrative and academic technologies), operations and related services that support student learning, administrative processes, faculty and staff development, community service, and communications.
- The CIO works collaboratively with constituent groups in setting priorities for the deployment of information technology to carry out the instructional and administrative goals and objectives of the college.
- In partnership with relevant constituents, the CIO provides technical leadership for Student Information System, financial systems, human resources, procurement, project management, enterprise portals, enterprise data warehousing, business intelligence, software development which includes various applications, infrastructure, IT project management and web technologies, help desk and network technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to identify trends and exercise mature judgment about the role of information services in higher education Ability to establish effective working relationships at all levels of the institution and with all constituencies (faculty, administration, staff Ability to establish priorities that effectively support the strategic goals of the college.
