- The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will drive the formulation and execution offinancial plans for maximum financial performance of Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas, one of the largest Girl Scout councils in the country.
- Responsibilities encompass all financial matters, including the operating, capital, and endowment budgets with priority on both the current and future financial state of the council.
- This includes but is not limited to forecasting financials, making recommendations to position GSNETX favorably in the economic climate, providing proactive mitigation strategies, building sustainable processes with new technologies and artificial intelligence (AI), communicating the budget and financial opportunities beyond just the numbers, and being a strategic member of the C-suite as we transform GSNETX for the future.
- The CFO supports the work of the Board of Directors by serving as council lead in coordinating work of the Finance Committee, the Audit Risk Management Committee, the STEM Center of Excellence Board, and the Endowment Foundation Board, preparing and presenting reports and analysis to support effective governance and decision-making.
- Work with the Fund Development team on United Way, corporate, foundation, and governmental grant proposals and reporting.
