- The Chief will lead a large clinical practice both on Duke campus and throughout the community, with 5 general ID and 4 Transplant ID services at Duke University Hospital and 2 general ID services at Duke Regional Hospital.
- The Division of Infectious Diseases is one of the top 3 NIH-funded divisions within the Department of Medicine, with 8 basic science research labs, several large multi-disciplinary translational research programs, and a robust clinical trial infrastructure.
- Educationally, we offer four first-year fellowship positions annually in our ACGME-accredited fellowship program which offers broad exposure to clinical infectious diseases at Duke University Hospital and the Durham VA Hospital.
- We offer advanced training programs in Antimicrobial Stewardship, Infection Control/Hospital Epidemiology, HIV, Global Health, and Transplant Infectious Diseases to support diverse trainee interests.
