- Under the administrative direction of the Warden, the Chief Deputy Administrator, Correctional Program, CEA [Working Title, Chief Deputy Warden (CDW)], is in charge of a State correctional institution for adults, to plan, organize, direct and coordinate all institutional programs and employees through subordinate managers and staff, to act on behalf of the Warden in his/her absence and as directed.
- By comparison, the Warden has overall administrative responsibility for the institutional effectiveness and for coordination and communications with departmental headquarters and institutions, and is responsible for external relationships with governmental, legislative, community and business leaders at the local and State levels.
- Vision: We enhance public safety and promote successful community reintegration though education, treatment and active participation in rehabilitative and restorative justice programs.
- Mission: To facilitate the successful reintegration of the individuals in our care back to their communities equipped with the tools to be drug-free, healthy, and employable members of society by providing education, treatment, rehabilitative, and restorative justice programs, all in a safe and humane environment.
