This new cabinet-level agency brings together programs centered on children and families, including child care and early learning, child support, child safety and permanency, economic support and food assistance, and youth opportunity. DCYF will be established in July 2024 and fully staffed by July 2025. The incumbent serves as the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) over funding, programs, and services of significant complexity and scope at the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF). The CCO is responsible for development and implementation of strategies to effectively integrate the agency’s compliance efforts to achieve the agency’s objectives. This position leads and provides oversight, direction, and coordination for all of the agency’s compliance activities, including, but not limited to: monitoring organization and program compliance with regulations; developing and implementing strategies that support compliance with federal and state regulations; overseeing, assessing, and managing risk; establishing effective monitoring and auditing; addressing noncompliance with corrective action and mitigation plans enforcing standards; developing lines of effective communication; and reporting on compliance activities.
