- Mainly Nights, PMs, and WeekendsDelivers wholistic ministry of spiritual care for patients, families, team members and physicians.
- Provides spiritual care, consultation and short-term counseling to patients, families, physicians, and team members as assigned and in accordance with site and system policies, facilitates sacramental ministries.
- Facilitates and encourages discussion and decision making related to medical-ethical dilemmas, such as, termination of treatment, organ donation, do not resuscitate (DNR) orders, living wills and durable power of attorney, and ensures that religious/faith issues are addressed.
- Supports the hospital ministry of parish clergy through referrals, consultation and education.
- Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:Eligible for board certification as an associate chaplain by APC/BCCI. Eligible for faith group endorsement Education Required:Completed graduate degree (MA, MDiv) in religious studies, theology, divinity or related field.
