- JOB SUMMARY: The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), depending on the clinic structure, may perform administrative tasks such as answering the phones, completing paperwork, and scheduling appointments in addition to assisting in clinical duties such as taking/recording a patient’s history, preparing patients for treatment; and taking a patient’s vital signs (blood pressure and temperature) prior to treatment.
- They also act as a liaison between the patient and the provider and maximize the provider’s time with the patient.
- Preferred Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent or Associates Degree or Clinical Training through Accredited Healthcare Technical Institute/School for CMA/RMA/CCMA
- Preferred Experience: 1 (one) Year Experience in CMA/RMA/CCMA role or Externship at Accredited MA Program in a physician’s office; prefer physician office/clinic experience
