- An event assistant chef is responsible for assisting the event chef in all activities of the kitchen, including menu development, kitchen setup, inventory, food preparation and presentation, cleaning, and kitchen breakdown.
- Food preparation and service must be performed in a timely manner and according to all safety and sanitation standards.
- Event assistant chefs must have a strong understanding of food preparation activities, ingredients, and food combinations and use this knowledge to assist the chef in preparing event meals most efficiently.
