Primary Responsibilities <ul><li>Ability to read and interpret EOBs</li><li>Post paper and electronic remits to include daily/monthly balancing and reconciliation</li><li>Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies, all insurances, deductibles, coinsurance, out of pocket maximums</li><li>Research and resolve deposit and/or posting discrepancies </li><li>Perform extensive primary and secondary research in order to locate missing EOB's and insurance payments for posting to accounts </li></ul>Qualifications <ul><li>3+ years current and relevant billing experience, payment posting and reconciliation experience, preferably in diagnostic lab, but not necessary</li><li>Extensive experience with recoupment investigation</li><li>Knowledge of insurance, accounting, medical billing, HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, medical abbreviations and terminology, preferred</li><li>Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), must be able to communicate professionally and effectively with other staff members, patients, vendors and physicians, and is fluent in written and spoken English</li><li>Understands medical billing procedures and protocols</li><li>Working knowledge of basic ICD-10/CPT code principles</li><li>High level of integrity in dealing with sensitive patient information</li><li>Basic computer knowledge and proficient in MS Excel, Word and Outlook</li><li>Ensures compliance with all state and federal billing and HIPAA regulations</li><li>Skills in operating computerized medical data entry and information processing systems</li><li>XIFIN experience a plus</li><li>Self-motivated with a strong work-ethic, solid interpersonal skills and excellent organization and prioritization skills </li></ul>So why join Hologic? The annualized base salary range for this role is $42,400 - $63,600 and is bonus eligible.
